The Indian Vika Chander runs a clothing store in New Delhi, but in his film “Heaven on Earth” he shows Namibia’s uniqueness as a photographer.
First a German colony, then a South African protectorate, the country on the south-eastern coast of Africa has only been independent for a few decades. It is hardly affected by air pollution and consists to a large extent of the Namib Desert. Around 300 days a year on average you can see a cloudless sky there.
The Indian businessman Vika Chander has also made this heaven the focus of his film. So just put your everyday life behind you for a few minutes and let yourself be carried away into the beautiful landscape of Namibia:
