To one and all,

wherever you are, here, there, or yon…
to family and friends…far or near,
all who we value, love, and hold dear,
we wish you all well…
for all the days to come…
Indeed, we are being called upon…
We are being challenged…
for many a good deed to be done…
The old year is gone…
to wherever old years go…
to that endless accumulation of
“what once was”…&…”what could’ve been”…
which gives us all a chance,
a good reason to pause,
to think, to reconsider, to reflect,
to re-evaluate, to remember,
to honestly admit and detect
what had been our part and parcel
of all that has now departed…
before we continue, encouraged,
invigorated, timely restarted…
with good hope in our heart and mind,
with good plans for good causes….

The New Year is here…
welcomed with many a big bang
and many a joyful loud cheer…
We need to move ahead…
willingly, hopefully, carefully,
with lots of thoughtful deliberation,
with consideration and caring,
also compelled with courage
and considerable daring
day by day, by day, by day…
We need to be willing
to face and confront
whatever comes our way…
So that by the end
of its allotted time
we have only good things
to recall about 2019…
and good things to say…

Hope springs eternal…
and hereby we have
yet another kernel…
a new seed to plant…
in the soils of hope…
to watch over…
to guard, to protect…
to see it grow and mature…
to bear good fruit…
with the labors of love…
to last and endure!

Happy & Hopeful New Year!
